CBD vs Mushroom Gummies: Ingredients and Buying Guide
A mushroom gummy may contain CBD, other cannabinoids, or no cannabinoids at all. The name alone does not identify the formula. When comparing CBD gummies with mushroom gummies, list each active ingredient and its amount separately, then check the full recipe and the documents supporting it.

Cannagea’s mushroom CBD gummies combine CBD with lion’s mane and cordyceps. That makes this a comparison between a cannabinoid-focused gummy and a cannabinoid-plus-mushroom formula, rather than a choice between mutually exclusive ingredients.
A current comparison with the same labeled CBD amount
Just Peachy full-spectrum CBD gummies list 30mg CBD per gummy. Their current ingredient list does not name a mushroom ingredient. The listing offers 12- and 30-count packages and a peach flavor.
Cannagea’s mixed berry mushroom CBD gummies list 30mg full-spectrum CBD, 50mg lion’s mane extract and 50mg cordyceps extract per gummy. The listing offers 12-, 30- and 60-count packages. Its ingredients also include vitamin B12.
Both examples list 30mg CBD per piece. The mushroom extracts are additional ingredients, not an extra 100mg of CBD. Adding all three amounts to call the mushroom gummy “130mg CBD” would be incorrect. This comparison describes the labels, not a study establishing that either formula works better.
Check what the mushroom amount represents
The mushroom product’s ingredient list identifies lion’s mane extract 8:1 and cordyceps extract 8:1. An extract ratio does not by itself tell you the amount of every constituent in the finished gummy, or prove equivalence to a different powder or extract. Compare the same ingredient form where possible.
If a product description leaves questions unanswered, ask for the species, part used, extract or powder identity, and documentation for the stated amount. A combined “mushroom blend” total is less informative than separate amounts. Do not assume that a larger number of species establishes better quality.
A front-label word such as “focus” is also different from a measured ingredient. Evidence about an ingredient does not automatically establish the effect of the finished gummy. Cannagea’s mushroom product page states that a specific focus or energy result is not guaranteed.
What a cannabinoid COA can—and cannot—verify
A cannabinoid certificate of analysis reports the compounds and tests named on that document. It may help compare the batch’s CBD and THC results with the label. Match the product, lot and units before interpreting the values.
A cannabinoid panel does not automatically verify lion’s mane identity, cordyceps quantity, vitamin B12 amount, or the complete recipe. For those questions, ask what ingredient specifications or finished-product testing are available. If a report includes contaminant testing, read which panels were actually performed.
Our guide to reading a CBD COA explains the cannabinoid checks. Use it as one part of the review rather than evidence that every ingredient has been independently confirmed.
Compare the complete recipe
The current mushroom gummy ingredients include organic cane sugar, organic tapioca syrup, pectin, mushroom extracts, organic berry concentrate, coconut oil, full-spectrum hemp extract, color, citric acid and vitamin B12. The listing explicitly says it contains coconut.
The current Just Peachy listing also says it contains coconut, but its recipe differs and includes ingredients such as tapioca syrup, sugar, fruit puree, agar, pectin and sunflower lecithin. Changing to a gummy without listed mushrooms therefore does not automatically remove coconut or every other ingredient you may want to avoid.
Use the actual package to confirm dietary requirements. “Mushroom,” “natural” and “CBD” do not establish an allergy, vegan or cross-contact guarantee.
Compare package cost fairly
For either example, 12 gummies at 30mg CBD each contain 360mg labeled CBD. Divide the selected package price by 12 for the cost per gummy. If you calculate price per CBD milligram, state that the calculation assigns no separate value to the mushroom ingredients.
There is no universal price conversion between a milligram of CBD and a milligram of lion’s mane or cordyceps extract. Compare the formula you actually want, not just the largest combined total. Select the package count on the live product page before comparing price and availability.
THC and suitability still matter
Mushroom ingredients do not determine the THC profile. Both examples above use full-spectrum hemp extract. Check the current cannabinoid report, and do not treat either as a guaranteed drug-test-safe purchase.
CBD can cause drowsiness and interact with medicines; adding botanicals does not remove those concerns. Review the FDA’s CBD safety information and discuss multi-ingredient products with a clinician or pharmacist.
Do all mushroom gummies contain CBD?
No. Read the named ingredients. The cited Cannagea mushroom gummy does; other products may have very different formulas.
Does “mushroom gummy” mean psychedelic?
The phrase is too broad to identify a product. Cannagea’s cited listing names lion’s mane and cordyceps extracts. Check the exact ingredients of any product rather than inferring them from packaging or a category name.
Which comparison should I use if my question is daytime versus nighttime?
Use the separate daytime-versus-nighttime gummy guide. This page compares ingredient categories and documentation; it does not establish a time-of-day schedule.
